High School
Garber lettered in volleyball three years under the tutelage of Tim Meyer at Thomas Worthington High School in Ohio. She earned accolades her senior year as a first team all-conference player and an honorable mention all-district player. Garber served as her team's captain in 2002 and 2003, her junior and senior seasons. She also excelled in track and field, earning two letters and helping her team's 4x100 meter dash squad qualify for the 2004 state meet as a team captain. Her success on the court and track helped her in the classroom as well, as she earned academic all-Ohio in 2004.

Personal
An education major at TCU, Nicole Susanne Garber has earned a place on the Dean's List. She enjoys playing sand volleyball, flag football, and indoor volleyball intramurals. The daughter of Susan and Carl Garber, Garber has one older brother, Rusty, and was born December 13, 1985. Her father played football for Eastern Kentucky University 1976-1979.
