Horned Frogs receive 57 Scholar-Athlete Awards from Mountain West Conference

TCU places 59 student-athletes on Academic All-MWC spring squad

Through the years, many Horned Frogs have earned numerous honors both on the court and in the classroom. Beginning with the 1975-76 season, 55 Frogs have been honored 246 times with such distinctions as all-America, all-conference and NCAA champions. Nineteen netters have garned all-America awards and 24 were named all-conference. David Pate and Paul Robinson own the most all-America honors with six, while Esteban Carril boasts the most all-conference team accolades with eight. Robinson is also the most decorated Horned Frog with 28 honors. David Roditi is second with 20 and Carril and Luis Ruette are third with 16 apiece. Pate and Karl Richter hold the lone NCAA title for TCU, earning it in 1981 at the NCAA Doubles Championship in Athens, Ga. Seven grand slam titles have been captured among five different players (Esteban Carril-1998 Clay Court Singles; David Pate-1981 NCAA Doubles, 1982 Indoor Singles; Karl Richter-1981 NCAA Doubles; Paul Robinson-1995 Clay Court Singles, 1994 & 1995 Clay Court Doubles, 1994 All-American Doubles; David Roditi-1994 & 1995 Clay Court Doubles, 1994 All-American Doubles).
